How to Get Phantom Membranes in Minecraft

There are only two ways to get Phantom Membrane in Survival Mode. If you want to get some by force, you can receive them as a drop from slaying a Phantom. Otherwise, you can wait for your tamed Cat to bring you one.

Phantoms

Phantoms only spawn one way, and that is by forcing your character to stay awake for at least an hour in real-time (which is about three days in-game). After your character uses a bed or dies, this time will be reset and Phantoms will not spawn. They spawn only at night, and they burn in the sunlight.

When a Phantom is slain by a Wolf or a normal sword, it drops only up to one Phantom Membrane. This amount increases with every level of Looting enchanted to the sword, with a max of four Phantom Membranes with Looting III.

Cats

Cats can also bring you a single Phantom Membrane as a gift in random occurrences. They have a three percent chance of dropping one in front of you. This is the only way to get a Phantom Membrane without forcing Phantoms to spawn. Players can create a large tamed Cat farm to increase their chances of getting Phantom Membranes every morning.

That's all you need to know about how to get a Phantom Membrane!
