Diablos Elemental Weakness

The main weakness of this is ice, but if you have dragon or water weapons, those are good alternatives, even if they aren't as impactful. Thunder weapons are not very effective in the battle against Diablos, so avoid them if you can. Do not use fire weaponry on the Diablos, as this monster is immune to fire damage. Here are the locations where you should attack Diablos for extra elemental damage.

Aim your attacks at the Head, Horn, Abdomen, Back, Wing, and Tail Tip when fighting Diablos, as these regions are where it's most vulnerable.

Resistances and Ailments

Diablos is resistant to many of Monster Hunter Rise's ailments, but the following ailment type is exceptionally effective—Paralysis. Other ailments impact the Diablos, like Blast and Iceblight, but they aren't as strong as Paralysis. Diablos is immune to Stun damage, so avoid using a weapon that prioritizes this ailment.

Diablos Drop Rates - Carves, Capturing & Breaking

Depending on your quest, you can get different rewards to forge armor and weapons, but each has a drop rate percentage, ultimately RNG. It is pure luck what you receive.

  • There are multiple ways of gaining items
    • You can carving three times once the monster is dead.
    • You can capture the monster instead of killing it.
      • Or carving the broken appendage of said monster.
    • From looting the drops from the monster
    • After successfully compleing your quest

Most monsters have breakable parts, and Diablos is no different. You can break the following pieces of the beast in battle—Back, Horn, and Tail. If you break these during the hunt, you will earn extra rewards after completing the quest.
