Monster Hunter Rise allows players to track down and hunt the most formidable monsters in the wild. Each of the beasts populating the world of Monster Hunter Rise offers a unique challenge. The farther players progress through the campaign, the more challenging these monsters become. One of the story's more formidable foes, the Rajang, is an electric ape known as Destruction Incarnate. One wrong move and hunters will end up dead, which is why it's essential to know the Rajang's weaknesses, resistances, and drop rates before fighting the foe for the first time.

Rajang Elemental Weakness

Rjang's main weakness is ice. Make sure to pack a weapon imbued with this element before heading out into the field. If you don't have an ice weapon, water is your only other option, though the increased damage from this element is minuscule. Do not use fire, thunder, or dragon weapons on the Rajang, as it is immune to these damage types.

If you've got an ice weapon, be sure to focus your attacks on the Rajang's Head to deal the most damage to this monster.

Rajang Resistances and Ailments

When fighting Rajang, use the Blast and Iceblight ailments to impact the beast in battle. These ailments do significant damage to the monster and are worth investing in. Try using Dual Blades or the Insect Glaive to inflict ailments on Rajang. Avoid using Poison, Stun, Paralysis, Sleep, or Exhaust ailments on Rajang because of its immunity to all of these ailments.

Rajang Drop Rates - Carves, Capturing & Breaking

Depending on your quest, you can get different rewards to forge armor and weapons, but each has a drop rate percentage, ultimately RNG. It is pure luck what you receive.

  • There are multiple ways of gaining items
    • You can carving three times once the monster is dead.
    • You can capture the monster instead of killing it.
      • Or carving the broken appendage of said monster.
    • From looting the drops from the monster
    • After successfully compleing your quest

Most monsters have breakable parts, and Rajang is no different. Players can break off the Rajangs Horns and Tail with enough damage. If you break these parts during the hunt, you will earn extra rewards after completing the quest.

The tables below are the percentage and drop rates of each material from Rajang, High rank.
