The Romance and friendships within Sandrock can be a critical part of the experience, but there are plenty of things to consider when planning on settling down with that special someone.
You'll need to take a few important steps to propose to the bachelorette or bachelor of your choice, including having the right relationship progress and that shiny ring. Keep reading for all the details below, whether you want to get hitched or separated from your partner.
My Time at Sandrock Marriage and Divorce Guide
To marry an eligible bachelor or bachelorette in My Time at Sandrock, players will have to build their relationship with them, either by giving gifts, talking with them every day, completing their special quests, or going on dates. Each of these will add points to their relationship meter. Check out the relationship levels below.

As you progress through the various relationship statuses with a character, you will notice a few differences in how they interact with you, including romantic voice lines, birthday gifts, and the option to invite them on a date. You'll be able to give a character a Heart Knot to evolve your friendship into a romance once you reach at least 150-400 points. To take that next step and ask them to marry you, you'll need to have the following requirements fulfilled:
- Workshop Yard level 5
- Be 'Lover' level with someone
- Have an Engagement Ring
How to propose in My Time at Sandrock
To propose to the special someone of your choice, you'll need to purchase an Engagement Ring from the Mysterious Man for 2,000 Gols. He arrives in Sandrock on the 20th and 21st of every season. Once you have the ring, you will have the option to propose, either while on a date with the character or directly gifting the ring to them. Characters might accept or decline, depending on your relationship status with them and if you meet all the requirements listed above.
After a successful proposal, you will automatically be considered married to that character, allowing them to move into the Workshop with you and complete any chores they are given. You can hold a wedding ceremony by scheduling one at the Church of the Light for 3,000 Gols. A ceremony can be held immediately or scheduled up to 7 days in advance, following in-game time.

How to get a divorce in My Time at Sandrock
If you wish to break off a marriage at any point, you can do so without any repercussions, minus losing the relationship points with that character. To do so, you'll need to gift your spouse a Broken Mirror. The Broken Mirror can also be purchased for the Mysterious Man, but very much more expensive, costing 20,000 Gols.
Divorcing a character does not mean they are completely unavailable in the future. You can marry that character again as long as you build up your relationship once again and have a successful proposal.
