Although we previously reported that Shinobi Life 2 was deleted from Roblox for copyright issues, good news has arrived over the Thanksgiving break. It appears that developer RELLGames has quickly revived Shinobi Life 2 as a brand new Roblox game, this time called Shindo Life.
Fans of the popular Shinobi Life 2 will be even more excited to know that their previous save data is safe. That means that all game passes, data, and anything purchased on the previous title will carry over to Shindo Life. This comes as a huge relief as many players were left wondering what would happen to all of the Robux-purchased content.
“In order to even get the game back, we had to do a title change,” said RELLGames. “It’s some tricky things with logistics with DMCA and how Roblox works. Don’t worry: all your data is still there, I already confirmed that; it’s just a different title.”
When players log in to Shindo Life for the first time, they will be pleasantly surprised. Almost nothing about the gameplay has changed, and it will feel like jumping right back into the game from a few weeks ago. I can confirm this, as I have tried out Shindo Life for myself.
However, some aspects of Shindo Life will be different. Certain character customization options have been removed to prevent the new game from getting a copyright strike. While that certainly is a bummer, it’s much better to have the game back in full, instead of removed entirely.
The new name was created by combining two of RELLGames’s most popular games: Shinobi Life 2 and 2014-15’s Nindo. Mashed together, the new name makes Shindo Life, marking a new era for one of Roblox’s most popular user-generated games.
