Essence Dust is a currency required to purchase items and schematics from Traders and repair tools in Nightingale. You can obtain this resource by extracting it from most of the mundane items found around the world. Essentially, converting harvested resources allows you to get a ton of Essence Dust early on.

This is one of the simplest and easiest methods to get the Dust. You can Extract Essence Dust from any item in your inventory. I recommend extracting Dust from items like Sticks, Plant Fiber, Stones, and similar smaller objects found in abundance. These items are easy to harvest and do not overburden your character. Once you've collected them in bulk extract the Essence Dust from these items.

Apart from this, there are chances that you might obtain Essence Dust from magic chests in-game. These chests are only available after performing specific tasks for the NPCs located in different realms.

As mentioned before, Essence Dust is the in-game currency. This will allow you to purchase blueprints of items such as crafting benches, augments, schematics, and more from the Essence Traders. In addition to this, it helps players to repair gear.

To repair your gear using Essence Dust, follow the steps mentioned below:

  • Click on your inventory and select the item you want to repair
  • Alternatively, click on the Repair All option to fix all items at once

While extracting Essence Dust from items, you can check the amount that can be obtained beside the item in your inventory. Similarly, while repairing, the amount of dust required is mentioned making it easier for you to gather more if required. I suggest collecting mundane items like Sticks and storing them in different caches. Make sure to increase your backpack's storage capacity to farm multiple resources simultaneously.
