There are plenty of reasons to use Throne in Octopath Traveler 2. She has one of the more tragic backstories, and her path goes down two branches (one for her Mother and Father respectively). If all of that doesn't sound appealing, though, she also happens to be a damage nuke. Build Throne the right way and players can have a very powerful assassin on their hands.
How should players build Throne in Octopath Traveler 2?
The best way to build Throne in Octopath Traveler 2 is by giving her the Warrior secondary job and watching her toss enemies aside like nobody's business. This doesn't really affect her coverage, as she only gets access to Polearms with Warrior, but it will make her much stronger in general.
First of all, Warrior provides the Summon Strength support skill, which gives her an additional 50 Physical Attack. Warrior also gives Throne Deal More Damage, which lets her surpass damage cap (which is 9999 damage).
Throne can get some nice added utility with the Warrior secondary job, specifically with skills like Aggressive Slash. If a boss is weak to swords, Throne can start the turn by breaking three shields, and she certainly has the speed to move first. On top of that, Throne's Latent Power lets her move twice in one turn. She could, therefore, use Abide to raise her Strength and then attack.
Ideally, her support skills would look like this:
- Summon Strength
- Latent Power Plus
- Deal More Damage
- Life in the Shadows
