One Punch Man World is full of many characters from my favorite anime series, but to progress in the game, it's necessary to learn which ones to pick and which ones to avoid. If you need help, take a look at our comprehensive One Punch Man World tier list!
OPM World Characters Tier List
Below is a list of all OPM World characters divided into five tiers. The fighters are ranked based on their effectiveness in combat, how hard they are to get, and whether they're worth investing in throughout the game. Tier | Characters |
---|---|
S | Genos (Arms Mode), Genos (Cyborg of Justice), Saitama (Dreamworld), Speed-O’-Sound Sonic, Speed-O’-Sound Sonic (Prisoner) |
A | Atomic Samurai, King, Mumen Rider, Puri Puri Prisoner, Zombieman, Silverfang |
B | Genos, Lightning Max, Saitama (Job Hunting) |
C | Golden Ball, Stinger |
D | Smile Man, Spring Mustachio, Triple-Staff Lily |
S-tier characters
These characters are pretty much Saitama-level in OPM World. Aim for these fighters and you won't have much trouble in battle.
Genos (Arms Mode)
As a fan-favorite character, Genos more than lives up to the task. His normal attacks are devastating if you time them correctly, and the stacking Firepower gives him immense damage from a distance, making him a threat to any foe.
Saitama (Dreamworld)
Saitama's pajama-wearing counterpart is a one-man show thanks to his ability to defeat enemies in a single shot. Definitely a powerhouse!
A-tier characters
A-tier fighters are close to S-tier, but they're missing the extra damage and abilities to put them above all others. Still, they won't disappoint you in battle, especially when you pair them with equally powerful characters.
Atomic Samurai
Atomic Samurai feeds on his enemies' weakness, literally! After absorbing it, he turns it into a powerful attack that decimates enemies, and his ability to mark them before attacking means they'll take all the damage. With a little more HP, he would easily be a top-tier choice.
Silverfang
Silverfang not only drains the enemies' attack damage, he also possesses the Ancient Martial Might—every time his attack clashes, Silverfang gets a damage boost for his special skills. Since his ability is to drain damage, it's understandable why he doesn't need more HP points, but that sure would be nice.
B-tier characters
These are solid picks overall, capable of going toe to toe with most opponents, but they're vulnerable to powerful attacks. Tread carefully and avoid taking damage!
Lightning Max
Lightning Max has a vast array of special attacks, gaining Gunpowder throughout the fight and using it for a more powerful hit. He's fast, but he'll only absorb so much damage before being eliminated.
Genos
Genos' default variant relies on Energy Charge as his main weapon. He can amplify his strikes when his target is within the crosshair, but in case he misses, it's game over.

C-tier characters
Characters in this tier can be helpful, but only when paired with the right teammates and after reaching higher levels. It's best to avoid these fighters and go for the ones in higher tiers.
Stinger
Under the right conditions, Stinger can deliver a mighty attack after collecting enough Roundhouse Points. These points increase his regular attacks and build his confidence, which lets him enter a high-damage state—the only problem is that he'll likely be defeated before he activates it.
Golden Ball
Golden Ball relies on precise strikes using Memory Bullets, and you'll need to land lots of normal attacks before you're able to deal more damage. They get charged up over time, but the end result is underwhelming.
D-tier characters
These fighters will serve you well in the first few fights, but try to move on to better ones when you get the chance. Simply put, they're not worth the investment or the grind.
Smile Man
Smile Man hits and catches his ball to reload his skills, which builds up his Smile Energy. Although they are pretty powerful, you'll likely lose all your HP in the first minute.
Triple-Staff Lily
As a starter character, Triple-Staff Lily does a decent job. However, you'll unlock tons of better characters as you progress through the story, making her practically irrelevant.
