Weapon modules are a crucial part of Outcast - A New Beginning. They allow you to modify your rifle and pistol to suit your play style, whether you want to heal as you damage, do massive damage from headshots, or get some help with your aim. While some weapon modules are found fully formed, usually when taking down a droid base, others come as weapon parts.

If you're an explorer like me, you may come across several of these weapon parts before the game tells you what to do with them. You need at least three weapon parts to do anything useful, so if you have that many it’s time to go and find Mazum. He can put them together for you and give you a new Weapon Module. You need four weapon parts for the first module, but there is one in his hut.

You will always find Mazum in his hut, which is directly south of Emea (I’ve marked it on the map adobe as my location). It is on a hill looking over the coast. There is also a gate you can activate just west of his hut (Sodoth Shore), so he’s easy to get back to once you have found more weapon parts.

I don’t know if all the Weapon Modules are always in the same place for all players, but when I handed in my first four weapon parts to Mazum I got the Overclocked Core upgrade. Note that you can visit Mazum just three times to get upgrades. After the first (costing four parts), the next two will cost you six parts and eight parts respectively. This means you only need a total of 18 parts to complete this short but profitable quest line.
