Overwatch 2: ‘Time Out Communicating with Battle.net Services’ error – How To Fix

An unsolvable error!

Since the launch of Overwatch 2 yesterday, the entire community has been facing several errors and bugs related to the game. One such error plagiarizing the experience of several players is the "Time Out Communicating with Battle.net Services," which arises while trying to log inside the game during long queue times, especially anything above 100.

As a network timeout error between your client and Blizzard servers, there is nothing much left in your hand than waiting for your client to establish a solid connection before running out of the default timer. Still, you can try some commonly deployed techniques for fixing network-related issues, like restarting your internet, using different DNS servers, or changing to a wired connection.

What causes the 'Time Out Communicating with Battle.net Services' error in Overwatch 2?

As mentioned earlier, the problem arises when you cannot establish a connection from your platform with the Battlenet services within the given timeframe. You can expect the error to pop up from time to time till either Blizzard scales up its server to reduce the queue time or the buzz around the game boils down.

Common solutions to fix the 'Time Out Communicating with Battle.net Services' error in Overwatch 2

Remember, these are some solutions to fix network-related problems and are not specific to our issue.

  • Restart Your Internet: Restart your internet by turning off your modem hub or router and trying to log in again.
  • Changing DNS Server: Try to change your DNS from your current one to something different from your Network settings.
