As with getting Sernuk Plushies, you’ll have to strap on your bow and go hunting Muujin if you want to get Muujin Plushies. It won’t be easy, but they’re adorable if you can get your hands on one. Unfortunately, the Muujin Plush drop rate is very low. Still, on the plus side, you’ll also be improving your Hunting Skill while picking up useful crafting ingredients such as Fur, Muujin Meat, and Muujin Manes

The Common Muujin can be found across Bahari Bay, particularly in areas containing trees and grassland in the north. I suggest hunting around The Outskirts, Flooded Steps, Proudhorn Pass, and south of Thorny Thicket (marked on the Bahari Bay map above).

A Common Muujin has 20 Health, which means it will take you two Standard Arrows or one Fine Arrow (or better) to take one down. Using Standard Arrows can make it a hard task, as while landing the first arrow is easy, they move fast and in odd patterns, making the second shot a tough one. To make this easier, try the following:

  • Use high ground: It’s much easier to make the second shot if you’re looking down for a clean shot of your target.
  • Hem them in: Muujin will naturally run away from you, so if there’s a wall behind them they’ll be forced to stay within your range. This means you only need to aim well, rather than aim well and move.

Note: every time you kill a Common Muujin there is a very small chance you’ll receive a Muujin Plush.

How to find Rare Muujin Plushies

All Muujin Plushies are rare, but those hunted from the Banded Muujin and Bluebristle Muujin are even rarer.

If you fail to kill a Common Muujin after making it run, it will eventually head to a tree and hide. Chopping down the tree will force the Muujin out of hiding, but it will return as a Bluebristle Muujin. These have 90 Health, so this is only worth pursuing if you’re a high-level Hunter or are hunting with a team. Defeating one will give you a very low chance of gaining a Bluebristle Muujin Plush. You'll notice that Bluebristle Muujin spawn if you find a Flow Tree Grove anywhere in Bahari Bay.

The final type of muujin is the Banded Muujin. You'll find these in the same areas as the Common Mujjin, but they're more rare. Where a Common Muujin has a black mane, the Banded Muujin’s mane is multicolored, with black, gray, and purple intertwined.

This banded variety is much tougher to kill, having 40 Health, so you’ll need two Fine Arrow hits to take one down. However, if you do, there’s a very small chance you’ll land a Banded Muujin Plush. Also note that, as with Common Muujin, a Banded Muujin that escapes will also hide in a tree and become a Bluebristle if you then chop it down.
