Going for gold?

There are seven steps to completing Paper Mario: The Origami King, most of which involve simply exploring the world and analyzing every object with a fine-tooth comb. To get the true ending, you will need to have completed all steps before going head-to-head with King Olly.

Complete all Not-Bottomless Holes

When out exploring any of the scattered worlds, you will come across holes left by King Olly's Paper Machos. You will need to use confetti to fill all of them in. To check your progress, pause the game and look at the map.

If you are running low on confetti, be sure to defeat Folded Soldiers. You can also hit the surrounding trees and flowers. Your maximum supply will increase for each streamer you destroy.

Locate all of the lost Toads

Each world will hold a bundle of hidden Toads. Collecting all of them is a mandatory step for getting the true ending after beating King Olly. Again, you can check your progress for each portion of the game by heading to the map on the pause screen.

To up your chances of finding the lost Toads, be sure to equip the accessory Toad Alert. This can be purchased at the shop on Picnic Road. You can also get the Toad Radar, which can be found in the Picnic Road Sensor Lab. Utilizing both will help point you in the right direction and uncover any missing Toads.

Locate all of the Collectible treasures

Origami King isn't exactly short on Collectibles. Fortunately, though, you can pick up the Treasure Alert accessory, which will help you track down any nearby Collectible. This can be obtained at the shop in Breezy Tunnel.

A lot of Collectibles will be fairly hard to come by, as they will ask that you complete a task in order to earn them. Others, however, will be hidden away in Hidden Blocks, as well as in chests within some of the surrounding grottos. Again, to check your progress, head to the map on the pause screen.

Locate all of the MAX Hearts

As you progress through Origami King, you'll want to increase your health. Doing so will, of course, give you a better chance when confronting some of the tougher enemies on the map. But in order to boost your health, you will need to unearth all of the MAX Hearts.

Fortunately, a helping hand is never far away, as Love Toad in Toad Town can give you clues throughout your journey. Speaking with him will give you a chance to check your progress, as well as point you in the direction of the next Heart.

Locate all of the Hidden Blocks

Hidden Blocks are a sight for sore eyes in Origami King, as they can often be rather tough to find. But in order to 100% the game, you will need to locate every single one of them. Looking for the shadows will, of course, give you a clear indication of where to look next.

In Shroom City, you can pick up the Hidden Block Alert accessory. Like the Toad Alert accessory, it will give you a ping whenever a Hidden Block is nearby. As you progress further into the game, you will eventually receive the Hidden Block Unhider, which will pinpoint the exact location of any nearby Blocks.

After coming across the Musee Champignon, you will notice that there are several rooms to fill out. To scratch off the task on your 100% checklist, you'll need to unlock all of the Art Gallery and Sound Gallery pieces.

Both galleries can be completed by playing through the game and completing the above objectives. Art Gallery pieces can be unlocked by finding the hidden Toads, and Sound Gallery pieces can be unlocked by filling in the Not-Bottomless Holes.
