PEAK is a pretty brutal game especially when you're playing solo, and using a cheat or two can save your run.
In most cases, we'd recommend you to not use any cheats, especially when you're playing with someone else. It could give you an advantage yes, but it could also ruin the other person's experience at the same time. The game doesn't feature any additional anti-cheat software, so you technically won't get reprimanded for it, but it's just bad practice. If you still want to cheat to cook food easily or to escape the Scoutmaster in PEAK, here's how to do it.
PEAK Cheat Engine Guide
As of now, using Cheat Engine is your only way to cheat in PEAK. The game doesn't support any codes like GTA San Andreas, nor are there any trainers available. So, if you're looking to gain an advantage while conquering mountains in PEAK, Cheat Engine is the only way to do it.
How to Use Cheat Engine
Cheat Engine is a software that lets you modify the memory values for different attributes in any game. You can use it to change almost everything from your health, to the amount of money you have. And while the process for activating everything remains the same, it can be a bit tricky to figure out which memory address to modify.
Before you use the software, make sure to download the .ct file from this link here. It has the necessary memory values available, so you shouldn't have trouble using it. With this downloaded, here's how you cheat in PEAK:
- Download and install Cheat Engine.
- Double-click on the .ct file that you previously downloaded, and that should automatically open the Cheat Engine window for you.
- In the top left corner, you should see a small computer icon. Click on it, and on the resulting window, select PEAK.exe from the list of processes. If you don't have the game running, be sure to launch the game and then return to the process window again.
- After you've launched the process, you should get an option to keep the list.
- Finally, activate the cheats by changing the values from 0 to 1, and that should do the trick.
In case your cheats aren't working, you need to check if Windows Firewall is blocking Cheat Engine. Once you've successfully installed it, try running the process again, and it should work for you.
Will Using a Cheat Disable Achievements in PEAK?
No, using a Cheat Engine table or a different trainer will not disable the achievements in PEAK. This only happens if you have a set of cheats that you can enable from within the game itself. In such cases, you get a prompt that informs you about the achievements being disabled. Since no such thing exists for PEAK yet, you can still unlock all your achievements.
Be warned though, because using these cheats could corrupt your game saves. In such cases, you may have to start from scratch once again!
