One of the most exciting events in gaming are PlayStation Showcases, so I was beyond thrilled to watch the PlayStation Showcase in May 2023. Numerous games were shown, but one that caught my eye was Phantom Blade Zero. I was immediately captured by the beautiful graphics and design of the game. Everything we know about Phantom Blade Zero

Phantom Blade Zero is a title by Cruelmans Studio and features action-adventure gameplay. The setting seems inspired by ancient China or Japan and features a beautiful world full of danger and thrills. While we don't know much, check out what we do know below.

What is the release date for Phantom Blade Zero?

No release date has been given for Phantom Blade Zero (not even a release window). We suspect 2024 at the earliest, since it was just announced in May 2023. You can bookmark the official Cruelmans Studio website for future updates on Phantom Blade Zero.

What platforms will Phantom Blade Zero be on?

At the time of writing, we only know Phantom Blade Zero will release on PlayStation, as it was shown during the May 2023 PlayStation Showcase. We expect it to be exclusive to PlayStation 5 due to the graphics and no announced release date. It may come to other platforms, but we only have PlayStation confirmation.

Is Phantom Blade Zero a Souls-like?

We do not have official confirmation on what Phantom Blade Zero's gameplay is like. It could be a Souls-like, but the combat does look incredibly fast-paced, while Souls-like games typically feature slower and more methodical gameplay. This doesn't mean other Souls-like elements can't be present, but we will have to wait and see.
