The new Phasmophobia Chronicle v0.13.1.0 patch comes with changes to make your life easier!

If you've been enjoying the Chronicle Update in Phasmophobia which completely reworked the way Media works in the game, you'll be happy to hear that there's a new patch v0.13.1.0 that focuses on quality of life improvements for the update. Read more about the exact patch notes below.

Phasmophobia Chronicle v0.13.1.0 Update - Everything New

The Chronicle update has introduced Video Recording a new form of Media evidence. You can now use the video camera to capture any evidence (or just you and your team having a silly-goofy time at haunted locations) during an investigation. The v0.13.1.0 Update has added new recordable video evidence:

  • The ghost turning Crucifix in Sunny Meadows.
  • The burning Crucifix in the chapel of Sunny Meadows.
  • Obake shapeshifting (this evidence can be hard to record and this is a known issue to the developers).

You will also now have both an audio and visual cue to signify you've competed a recording. For Tier 1, you'll see a flashing light, but for Tier 2 and 3, you'll also hear an audio cue.

To finish off the new content, which admittedly there isn't a lot since this is a QoL update, map names will be displayed when you are browsing through available rooms in multiplayer.

All Changes in the Phasmophobia Chronicle v0.13.1.0 Update

QoL updates usually come with a bunch of changes to the game. This is great to see that the devs are taking player feedback into consideration and balancing the game appropriately. Here's everything changed in Phasmo that you should be aware of.

Value of Evidence

The Phasmophobia changed the value of Evidence found in the right direction. This means that harder-to-record media is now more valuable. Struggling to get that evidence will have a better payoff now.

  • Freezing Temperatures - Now $10 (was $5)
  • Ghost Writing - Now $10 (was $5)
  • Hunt Sounds - Now $20 (was $15)
  • Dead Body - Now $5 (was $10)

Sound Improvements

The game has adjusted the range for recording sound during ghost hunts as well as events. You can also record a scream at the end of an event, extending your evidence time. Apart from this, the volume has been adjusted in multiple instances:

  • The audio from the teddy bear has been reduced.
  • Light extinguish interaction audio has been reduced.
  • Door rattle /slam / squeak interaction audio has been reduced.

Equipment Updates

There are a few upgrades that you'll see to the equipment as well. The Tier 3 Photo camera now has a larger screen to match the polaroid aspect ration in the Journal. The other visual update that is worth mentioning is the CCTV in the warehouse van which got a design update.

Voting Changes

When it comes to deleting photos or a specific piece of media, there have been some changes to the voting system:

  • Photos with $0 value can now be deleted without the need to vote.
  • In a match with 3 or 4 players, only a majority vote - not unanimous - is required to delete a piece of media.

Video Evidence Changes

Of course the new video recording system will and should get a few tweaks until everything is working smoothly. Here are all of the interactions which now count as ''interaction'' evidence instead of ''unique'' evidence now:

  • Phones
  • Sinks
  • Showers
  • Camping stoves
  • Bear traps
