Phasmophobia's old level up system is seeing changes that will wipe all its players' progression. These changes will still give returning or active players something special to show off with everyone at the same base level. This can be a bit confusing at first to new players but it is actually a lot simpler than it seems at first glance. This is everything you need to know about how Progression works in Phasmophobia.
How does the Level Reset work in Phasmophobia?
Returning players to Phasmophobia will have a Prestige 1 level once all player levels are reset so that they don't have to go through the trouble of unlocking equipment and maps. New players to the game will still have to unlock things from the start, however.

In addition to this, players will get their levels on a badge on their arm. Everyone's badge will be fully customizable with each piece of it being unlocked after hitting certain levels. These will be able to be swapped out to your heart's content.
