How to counter Dugtrio in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Dugtrio is a Ground-type Pokémon, giving it only three weaknesses. It has good Attack and better Speed, meaning it can hit hard and fast before you have a chance to strike it. Fortunately, it is very weak, with a low HP and Defense stat. This means you can typically one-hit KO it if you survive its attack or go first.

A fast Water or Grass-type is recommended, as Dugtrio can learn Rock moves to counter Ice-type Pokémon. You can also use bulky Water and Grass Pokémon as they can typically survive a hit from Dugtrio and counter it. Flying types like Hawlucha and Corviknight are good choices as well.
