Best Counters for Unrivaled 7-Star Pikachu in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

Might want to catch Wo Chien before attempting this raid.

The month of February is bringing a very unique Tera Raid boss to Pokémon Scarlet & Violet in the form of Unrivaled 7-Star Pikachu. This version of the Pokémon mascot has a Tera type of Water, which means bringing Ground-types won't work. Fortunately, there's another Pokémon type that hard shuts down this Pikachu, even with the Water typing.

Best Pokemon to Beat 7-Star Unrivaled Pikachu in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

Basically, the easiest way to beat this 7-Star Tera Water Pikachu in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet is to use a Grass-type. They resist both Water and Electric, not to mention dealing super effective damage to the Tera Water Pikachu.

Not any old Grass-type will do here, though. Trainers will need quite the tanky counter, since this Pikachu holds a Light Ball, an item which boosts Attack and Special Attack when held by Pikachu. Frail Pokémon like Meowscarada might find itself getting chunked by Surf or Play Rough.

Trainers will also want to make sure that the counter they bring can Terastallize itself. Unrivaled Pikachu spawns a shield right at the beginning of the match, and trainers won't be able to get rid of the shield without a Tera Pokémon of their own.

In terms of specific counters, Liligant is a pretty strong option thanks to Quiver Dance, which raises its Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed all at the same time. Amoongus is also worth looking at here since it can resist all of Unrivaled Pikachu's moves (Surf, Thunder, Play Rough and Iron Tail).

For a real easy time of it, players could use Wo Chien, whose massive defenses would take little damage from anything Pikachu could use. Trainers would just need to make sure they Tera Wo Chien into Grass immediately, to take away its Dark weakness from Play Rough.
