Best Nature for Jangmo-o, Hakama-o, and Kommo-o in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

A powerful dragon needs a good nature.

Jangmo-o, Hakama-o, and Kommo-o are the only Fighting and Dragon-type Pokémon so far, so their return in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet through the Teal Mask DLC Pokédex was a pleasant surprise (especially for the more competitive trainers). I've always enjoyed their design, so I sought at this evolutionary line as soon as I got to Kitakami. But let's look at what the best nature for Jangmo-o, Hakama-o, and Kommo-o are in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

What is the best nature for Jangmo-o, Hakama-o, and Kommo-o in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?

The natures below are the best choice for Jangmo-o, Hakama-o, and Kommo-o in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet.

  • Adamant (+ Attack, - Sp. Attack)
  • Jolly (+ Speed, - Sp. Attack)

Kommo-o is a hard-hitting Dragon and Fighting-type Pokémon with an incredible Attack and good stats everywhere else. That said, the two I recommend boosting are Attack and Speed. Choosing the Adamant nature will make all of Kommo-o's physical attacks more powerful. On the other hand, a Jolly nature will increase its Speed and let it act before slower Pokémon more effectively.

Another option is to choose the Modest nature, as Kommo-o's signature move, Clanging Scales, is a special Attack. However, this is only one move, so I don't recommend focusing on Special Attack, considering Kommo-o's move set.

How to choose the best nature in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

When picking the best nature for a Pokémon, look at it stats and move pool. Jangmo-o, Hakama-o, and Kommo-o have good stats almost all around, but they excel in Defense and Attack the most. Still, I suggest increasing its Attack or Speed with the Adamant or Jolly nature to increase its effectiveness at being a physical sweeper.
