Best Nature for Larvitar, Pupitar, & Tyranitar in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

Here are some great Natures for Larvitar, Pupitar, and Tyranitar!

On the adventure across the Paldea Region in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, players will encounter many great Pokémon that can be brought to fight alongside them. While trainers can rest assured that most of these battles are won without too much of a struggle, there is the occasional fight that will require a bit more effort to come out on top. For competitive and late-game battles, it is important to wield Pokémon with the best possible stats. To do this, it would be a good idea to hunt down a Pokémon with the best possible Nature. For those looking for a good-Natured Larvitar, Pupitar, and Tyranitar, here are some great options.

What is the best Nature for Larvitar, Pupitar, & Tyranitar in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

Larvitar, Pupitar, and Tyranitar, like most other pseudo-legendaries such as Dragapult, have extremely high base stats. Here are some good choices for their Natures:

  • Adamant (+Attack, -Special Attack)
  • Brave (+Attack, -Speed)

Based on Tyranitar's size and bulky design, it may seem at first glance that it would be best served as a tank. Upon further inspection, players will take note of its exceedingly high Attack stat. It's a good idea to double down on Tyranitar's Attack since the vast majority of its learned moves are Physical Attack moves, meaning that the best Natures are Adamant and Brave.

How to choose the best Nature in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

A good first step when attempting to narrow down which Natures are best for a Pokémon would be to look over its move pool and base stats. The best Natures will complement both of these. This isn't a hard and fast rule though, since factors such as the Pokémon's Abilities and a trainer's playstyle should always be considered too.

A Pokémon's Nature should pair well with the moves that are available to them. Pokémon that have a whole bunch of Physical Attacks should be coupled with a Nature that also improves their Attack stat. If the best Nature isn't obvious after sorting through their moves, players should check out the Pokémon's base stats. A good Nature will often raise the stronger stats and lower the weaker ones.
