Can you catch Titan Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?

You can always try to catch 'em all!

There are tons of new kinds of Pokémon to explore while playing through Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, including the all-new Titan Pokémon. These Pokémon are large-scale Pokémon usually found guarding different items, such as herbs for the Path of Legends route provided by Arven. They are really hard to miss due to their size, and their battle style is a bit different. They will have health bars across the top of the screen that will deplete as you attack them.

Once defeated, a cutscene will appear to progress the rest of that mission. You will most likely be asked to fight this Titan Pokémon again with a full health bar. Once they are defeated, they will simply vanish. So, are you able to capture such huge Pokémon?

How can you catch Titan Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?

Unfortunately, once the Titan Pokémon disappears and the mission ends, you can't catch it. Though you cannot capture them in these much larger forms, the regular and shiny versions are still available across Paldea. You can also breed them if you feel so inclined to! In fact, you can check your map to find out which Pokémon are available in what parts of the world and seek them out. While they won't be anywhere near the same size as a Titan Pokémon, you can still find Pokémon of different sizes and specifically search for a much larger one.
