Pokémon Scarlet and Violet bring many new features to the Pokémon series, but fan favorites also return. This includes the ability to customize your character's physical features at the beginning of the game before you pick your starter. But you may be wondering if you can change your outfit in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

How to change your outfit in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

To change your clothing items in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, press left on the D-pad. This will pull up the Outfit menu. Here you can scroll through the various options and change parts of your appearance, both your looks and your outfit. Press A to remove or equip an item. However, you cannot change certain parts of your outfit. The ones you can equip are Uniforms.

The answer is yes, you can change your appearance and outfit in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. However, there are some limits as to what you can choose. Mainly this limit is on the attire, as you can cycle between school uniforms in the Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter look. You can remove clothing items if you prefer to simplify your look. Find the clothing you are wearing with the green check mark next to it. Highlight that selection and press the X button. This will remove the clothing item and let you leave that piece unequipped.

While in the menu for changing your outfit, press the + button. This will take you to the physical appearance options. As for your physical appearance, you can change many options whenever you want. These options are:

How to change your hair in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

Unlike your appearance and outfit, you cannot change your hair at will. This can only be done at hair salons found in most towns. At the hair salon, you can browse various hairstyles and colors, then select with the A button and confirm with the + button. Pressing B will cancel this and back out of the hair salon menu. It will cost 3,000 Poké Dollars regardless of if you change hairstyle, color, or both.
