Can you get the original Paldea Pokedex after starting DLC in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?

Does Blueberry Academy have an exit?

Given the exciting Pokémon in The Indigo Disk DLC, many trainers have been in a rush to travel to Blueberry Academy; some haven't even beaten the main game first. Can they go back and finish their Paldea Pokedex?

Can you return to Paldea from Blueberry Academy?

The short answer is yes, you can travel from Blueberry Academy to Paldea at your leisure. The same can be said for Kitikami if you haven't caught Ogerpon yet. The DLCs are basically their own story, and the game will remember your progress in each area if you decide to leave for a while.

Here is how to get back and forth from Blueberry Academy:

  • Press the Y button to open up the map
  • Press L or R to toggle between the Blueberry Map, Kitikami Map and Paldea Map
  • Select a fly location on the Paldea Map
  • This will start a cutscene where you hop in a plane and return back to Paldea

It's important to note that this will only work if the location in Paldea has the fly icon next to it. So, you can fly straight to Mesagoza for instance, but not onto the grass in the province south of Mesagoza. I recently tried this, and even the Poke Centers remembered that I was champion in the Paldea League.

Also, you cannot fly straight from Paldea into the Blueberry Academy Biomes. The only fly spot in Blueberry Academy is in the main lobby above ground; you have to travel there and then walk underwater to get back to the biomes.
