The Paldea region is home to many different types of Pokémon, some of which can only be found at certain times of the day, while others can only evolve during the day or night. Time will naturally cycle between day and night, but you may be wondering if there is a way to change Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's time of day and night.

How to switch the Time of Day/Night in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

There is no in-game way to change the time of day or night in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Instead, you must do so within Nintendo Switch's menu. This will change the time in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and allow you to switch from time to day. Here is how to change Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's time of day and night.

  • Select the Settings on the Nintendo Switch Home Screen.
  • Scroll down and click on System.
  • Go to Date and Time.
  • Choose Synchronize Clock via Internet.
  • Adjust the time.

The day and night cycle in Paldea alternates from morning to night about every 70 minutes. Setting the clock ahead or behind 30 minutes should change your in-game time of day to night or vice versa. You can check whether it is day or night by looking at the icon in the top-right of the map and see if which you need to switch to.
