Scatterbug's habitat in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is limited to the opening path on your journey to Mesagoza for the first time. While it can appear anywhere from your house to Mesagoza, we had the most luck finding Scatterbug nearby trees along Poco Path. It is tiny, so it can be hard to spot. We also generally found it by itself. It was rarely in a group.

Scatterbug has two evolutions, and they have very easy requirements to achieve. To evolve Scatterbug to Spewpa you just need to have your Pokémon gain enough experience to reach level nine. To evolve Spewpa into its next evolution, Vivillion, you'll need to help the Pokémon reach level 12. Bug Pokémon can be a bit on the squishy side, so taking advantage of EXP Share and evolving this Pokémon passively without fighting may be your best option.
