How to get a Master Ball in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

Ready to earn the most special Pokéball of all?

One of the most popular aspects of every Pokémon game is finding the Master Ball, which is no different in the latest Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. This legendary Pokéball has a 99.99% chance of catching whatever Pokémon it throws at. While getting this legendary ball isn't necessarily tricky, it requires a lot of patience, as you will need to complete every single path in the game first. This includes completing the Path of Legends, Victory Road, and Starfall Street, as well as the game's final story and true ending after completing the aforementioned three. So how can you ensure that you'll receive a Master Ball for all your efforts?

When do you get the master ball in pokémon scarlet & violet

Once you've completed all of the above requirements, you will get a phone call on your Rotom phone from Director Clavell. He will ask you to meet him inside his office at the Naranja Academy. When you meet with him, he will award you with the Master Ball for all of your efforts throughout the region of Paldea. Realistically, there aren't too many Pokémon that we would worry about using this Pokéball on, but we would recommend using it on a shiny Pokémon if you encounter one. Otherwise, this is a great addition to anyone's collection of in-game Pokéballs.
