Is there a Belly Drum TM in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?

Cut your health and boost your Attack.

The Pokémon meta is constantly changing, especially with Tera Raids in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Belly Drum is one of the hottest moves, especially on Azumarill. This attack will cut your Pokémon's health in half but raises its Attack to the max. However, learning the move can be troublesome, so you may be wondering if there is a TM for Belly Drum in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

There is no TM for Belly Drum in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. This means that Pokémon have to learn the move naturally or through another method, such as breeding and egg moves. Fortunately, there is an easy way to teach a Pokémon Belly Drum without a TM in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

How to teach a Pokémon Belly Drum in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

While you can teach a Pokémon Belly Drum through breeding in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, passing down this egg move can be a pain. Scarlet and Violet have the Mirror Herb, a held item that allows Pokémon to copy moves from other Pokémon, as long as they can also learn it. Here is how to teach a Pokémon Belly Drum with the Mirror Herb in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

  • Add a Pokémon that knows Belly Drum to your party.
  • Add a Pokémon that needs to learn Belly Drum to your party.
  • Give this second Pokémon the Mirror Herb, and leave one slot open in its move pool.
  • Delete all moves except for Belly Drum from the first Pokémon.
  • Go on a picnic and wait.

Eventually, the Pokémon will learn Belly Drum from its partner. You don't have to delete all moves necessarily, just any that the Pokémon without Belly Drum can learn. However, we prefer to be safe and just remove all moves in case one gets overlooked.
