The recent trailer shown for the DLC waves for the Pokémon Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC was filled to the brim with new details about the gameplay. Several new Pokémon made appearances, including a couple of Paradox forms and new evolutions. There's also more information on both the Teal Mask and the Indigo Disk, featuring more of the characters that will be showing up in each wave.
All new info about Teal Mask DLC in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
The Teal Mask Wave of the DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will center around Ogerpon, a new legendary. This new trailer revealed Ogerpon's unique Tera form. Based on the design, it looks like Tera Ogerpon won't take on a new type but rather just become a stronger version of itself with a larger mask.
It also looks like trainers will spend lots of time in the Teal Mask Wave battling against Kieran, the new rival of sorts. Kieran lives in Kitikami, where trainers will be able to play a couple of new minigames. Trainers will also get access to a Roto-stick to take fun selfies with in-game. The Teal Mask will be available on Wednesday, Sept 13, 2023.
All new info about the Indigo Disk DLC in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
The second wave of DLC, entitled The Indigo Disk, will take place in Blueberry Academy. Most of this Academy is located underwater, where there are artificial biomes for trainers to catch Pokémon and battle with. The biomes that can be found there are as follows:
- The Savannah Biome
- The Coastal Biome
- The Canyon Biome
- The Polar Biome
This academy also has its own Elite Four. Made up of members Lacey, Crispin, Amarys, and Drayton, together they form the BB League, a group of students who battle and rank each other.

New evolutions coming to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC
Two new evolutions were spotted in the trailer, the first of which was Dipplin. This new evolution of Appelin has the appearance of a candy apple and looks to be on Kieran's team.
The second evolution to be seen was Archaludon. This is an evolution of Duraludon and appears to be based on a suspension bridge rather than a building. Archaludon appears to be on Drayton's team in the BB League.
New Paradox forms found in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC trailer
Two other mysterious Pokémon were spotted at the end of the trailer. They didn't receive an explanation, but based on their design, they appear to be Paradox forms for Raikou and Cobalion. This would make sense, seeing as Suicune and Virizion recently got Paradox forms with Walking Wake and Iron Leaves, respectively. Apparently, Game Freak wants to stick with the theme of having one Unovan legendary and one Johto legendary get Paradox forms with each update.
On top of that, several older Pokémon are returning. I'm most excited to see Metagross return from the Hoenn region!
