Rotom can be found in two locations: near Port Marinada and near Levincia. We found ours in the grassy hills around Levincia. Rotom is very small and a little rare, so it might be difficult to see one. We recommend conducting your search at night, since its glowing body is more visible at this time.

Only Rotom’s base form can be found in the wild. If you want to own its alternate forms, you need to catch a bunch of Rotoms and change them.

How to change Rotom forms in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

Rotom doesn’t evolve, so it often needs special items to change its forms. But in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, you only need one: the Rotom Catalog. You can purchase this from the auction aisle in Port Marinada after you return the Water gym leader’s wallet. If you don’t have enough money to win the auction, you can come back for it anytime.

To use the Rotom Catalog, open your bag and move your cursor to the Key Items pocket. The Rotom Catalogue will be stored here. You can use it on a Rotom in your party. It’s multi-use, so feel free to change its forms whenever you want to.
