The best nature

Accruing the best Pokémon in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl is one of the keys to being the best trainer in the Sinnoh region. An easy way to make sure your Pokémon are as powerful as possible is by optimizing their stat bonuses or Natures. Make sure your Sneasel and Weavile have the best possible Nature before settling on one.

  • Adamant (+Attack, -Special Attack)
  • Jolly (+Speed, -Special Attack)

Sneasel and its evolution, Weavile is has a blistering Speed stat, ensuring it outmaneuvers almost any Pokémon in the game without a boost to this stat. Combine that with an Attack that is just a hair weaker than that maximum Speed, and you've got a Pokémon that is excellent and clearing late-game teams.

Choosing an Adamant Nature means that Sneasel and Weavile won't outrun every Pokémon they encounter, but the list of adversaries that can manage that task is very slim. The small sacrifice in Speed boosts Sneasel and Weavile's Attack strength to staggering levels sure to shred teams with ease.

Those opting for a Sneasel of Weavile that are unmatched in Speed will want a Jolly Nature. Jolly Sneasel and Weavile are sure to strike first, and because their base attack stat is already so potent, it's likely to be a lethal hit, just not guaranteed like with an Adamant Nature.

In the end, we sided with an Adamant Nature for these powerful Pokémon, as their base Speed state is a bit higher than their base Attacks. Giving these Pokémon that slight boost in power makes them even more of a threat to their opponents.
