Shiny Pokémon are rare versions of Pokémon in Pokémon go that have modified looks. They are called shiny because they have a slight sheen added to them that makes them stand out more than the normal versions.
Shiny Rates
Apart from the Pokémon that don't have shiny versions in the game, every Pokémon has a base shiny rate assigned to it that tells you how often you'll see a shiny version of them under normal circumstances. The shiny rate for Shinx is about 1 in 125. So, for every 125 Shinx you find in the wild, you'll probably only see one shiny version.
Luxio and Luxray are rarely seen in the wild. Because of this, it's hard to determine exactly what their shiny rates are. Chances are, the only way you'll be able to get a Shiny Luxio or Shiny Luxray is by evolving a Shiny Gothita.
Shiny rates change for Pokémon featured during Community Day events. The standard shiny rate on these days is 1 in 25. Shinx will be featured as the Community Day Pokémon on Nov. 21, 2021, so that will be the best day to get one!

How to Get Shiny Shinx
There is no way to force a Shiny Shinx to appear. Instead, players must simply play the game to hope to run into one. However, there are a few tricks players can use to make it easier to find them.
- Play during events that feature Shinx. There is a Community Day event featuring Shinx on Nov. 21, 2021. Community Days not only boost the shiny rate to 1 in 25, but also boost the spawn rate of the featured Pokémon. Players who join in on the Community Days will likely catch hundreds of Shinx, essentially making it a guarantee that they'll get a shiny version.
- Look for Shinx nests. You'll find a lot more Shinx in specific areas where they spawn. You can use the Silph Road Nest Atlas to find nests marked by other players. Nests don't increase the shiny rate, but they increase the spawn rate of specific Pokémon. This makes it more likely to find a shiny version.
