Crown Tundra: How to get Regice

Walk together with a living crystal of snow? What could that mean? Find out in our guide!
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

There are plenty of mysteries to unearth in the freezing lands of the Crown Tundra, the latest expansion for Pokémon Sword and Shield. With every legendary Pokémon now in the game, and an extra 5 to capture, it might take a long time to catch 'em all. In the Tundra's cold region, 4 ancient tombs are waiting to be opened for the hidden Pokémon waiting inside. However, it's not that simple, as every tomb there is a riddle one must solve before being able to enter.

How to walk together with a living crystal of snow

To get Regice in Crown Tundra, we will need to solve the walk together with a living crystal of snow riddle that is upon the entrance of Regice's frozen tomb. Once that riddle is solved, you'll be able to find and capture Regice, one of the 3 Regi Pokémon needed to find the 2 new legendary Pokémon in the DLC.

However, first players must find where Regice's temple resides; you can locate his temple in the Snowslide Slope Area. Instead of heading towards the top of the mountain, alternately stick to the left-hand side path. Eventually, you'll come across an icy temple; however, you cannot get inside. If you interact with it, you'll see the words: Walk together with a living crystal of snow.

Can you remember when you got off the train at Crown Tundra station, and that scientist asks to see a Hex Nut Pokémon to be rewarded with a Hex Nut Sport Cap! The riddle above is more or less along the same lines, what Pokémon is made of living crystal snow?

The Pokémon you need to find is a Cryogonal! Make sure this Pokémon is the first one in your party, so it'll start walking around with you. Then interact with the temple doors once again, and this time you'll be allowed to enter.

If you don't have a Cryogonal, no worries, check the outskirts of the temple, and you'll be sure to locate one in no time at all.

Once inside, the layout is very much the same as where you find Regirock. You light up the circles on the floor quickly, then interact with the massive statue. Upon doing so, the legendary Level 70 Ice-type Pokémon Regice will fight you, and here you can capture him.
