How to Walk With Your Buddy in Pokemon Go

It's not too difficult to walk with your buddy Pokemon! All you need to do is tap on their avatar which is right next to your face at the bottom left of the application. This will initially guide you through feeding your buddy and maxing out their food intake. You can either place them nearby in AR mode, or you can hit the quick treat option (this only works if they aren't already on the map with you). Now, all you need to do is throw berries to them like you would throw a PokeBall at a Pokemon! Make sure to aim correctly, because if you don't land it on them it will disappear!

Once you've done that, your buddy will now be able to go on an adventure with you. That's really all you need to do! As long as your buddy's food meter stays relatively full, it will continue to walk with you on your adventure. You can then play, walk, battle, or take a snapshot with them! All of these are daily activities you can participate in that will upgrade your buddy rank with that particular Pokemon.

You can swap your buddy up to 20 times a day, and if you do you will need to feed them enough berries to get them to walk with you. Once that food meter is full, they will appear on your map as normal. You can then go through and do all the things you did on your previous buddy. This isn't limited to one buddy per day, you can do them for many different Pokemon!
