To catch shiny Pokémon in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, you will need a certain amount of luck. They can be found in the wild but have an extremely low encounter rate. This number is 1/4096. It can be increased in various ways, such as defeating the same Pokémon many times or through breeding.
