How-to Get Mime Jr. in Pokemon Sword & Shield

It's time to take a look at where-to get yourself a Mime Jr. in Pokemon Sword and Shield! These can be hard to find in the wild of this generation of Pokemon, but there's a way to breed for them that will save you some time and effort. If you're looking to complete your Pokedex in this set of games, you'll want to get yourself to the Nursery and start incubating some eggs.

How-to Find Mime Jr.

You can find Mime Jr. as an encounter it in a Raid Battle or as a very rare spawn in the Rolling Fields of the Wild Area during a Snowstorm. These can be unreliable, so they aren't the best method, but if you want to check Pokemon Dens for them you can go to Bridge Field, Hammerlocke Hills, Lake of Outrage, Motostoke Riverbank, and the Stony Wilderness. Again, this is going to be a pretty difficult path, so the next option is much better.

How-to Breed for a Mime Jr.

This is the much more reliable method, but it's a bit different than your typical breeding. You'll need to have a Mr. Mime or Mr. Rime and you will need to give them the item, Odd Incense. You can get this item over in Hulbury at the Incense Vendor, she's the blonde woman at the farmer's market looking area. It's directly right from the Pokemon Center and down the stairs.

If you don't have a Mr. Mime, you can find one in the following locations: Route 10 or the Lake of Outrage. You can also find them rarely in Max Raid Battles in Dusty Bowl, Giant's Cap, Hammerlocke Hills, Motostoke Riverbank, Stony Wilderness, Watchtower Ruins. Once you've got one, give it the Odd Incense to hold. You will now need either a Mr. Mime that is the opposite gender, or you will need a Ditto. Ditto is the easiest option, you can find them in the Lake of Outrage as a fairly common spawn.

Take both of these Pokemon over to the Nursery (one can be found at Route 5), and give them to the person there. Make sure your Mr. Mime/Rime is holding the Odd Incense! Run around for a bit, and wait for the lady there to cross one arm and put her hand on her chin, this is the sign that she has an egg. Talk to her and grab the egg and put it into your party. Ride around until the egg hatches, and you will have yourself a Mime Jr.!
