The Pokémon Company revealed a lot of new information for its upcoming release of Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. The latest trailer for the games showed what kind of Legendary Pokémon fans can expect to see in what games. Players will find most Legendaries in the New Ramanas Park area, but they can only get a pair of Mythical Pokémon if they have save files of other Pokémon games on the Nintendo Switch.
How to get Mew and Jirachi
Mew is the iconic Mythical Pokémon from the original Generation of Pokémon games. Mew received notoriety among the fanbase for how difficult it was to get during the Red and Blue era of games and its starring role opposite its clone Mewtwo in Pokémon: The First Movie. Jirachi is a Mythical Pokémon introduced in the third generation of Pokémon games, Ruby and Sapphire. Jirachi was a special event Pokémon, only available as a handout to players who go to a specific place or event.

Both Mythicals will be available in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl for free, but only if you have a save file of specific Pokémon games on the Switch. If players have a save file of Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! or Let’s Go, Eevee!, Players can obtain Mew by talking to a woman standing in the flower field in Floaroma Town. If players have a save file of Pokémon Sword or Shield, Players can obtain Jirachi by talking to a man standing with the woman in the same flower field in Floaroma Town.
