How to make Poffins in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

One day, my Pokémon will dominate all five Contest frames.

Poffins, or Pokémon Muffins, have two purposes in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl: boosting a Pokémon’s attribute for Contests and raising their friendship level. Here’s how to make them.

Before you can make Poffins, you need a Poffin Case. This can be received by speaking to the president of the Pokémon Fan Club in Hearthome City.

Find a Poffin pot

To make Poffins, you need to find a Poffin pot. These are found in two places: one is in the Poffin House and the other is in Amity Square Park. Both are located in Hearthome City.

Choose your Berries

Once you find a Poffin pot, talk to the woman who manages it. You can place up to four Berries in the pot. The number of Poffins that you make depends on the number of Berries you use. Just don’t use two of the same Berries since this will produce Foul Poffins, which are low-levelled and will boost three random stats.

If you’re purposefully making a Poffin of a specific flavor (such as Dry or Sweet), you can check each of the Berry’s attributes by pressing Y and adding similar-tasting ones to the pot.

Cook your Poffin

To cook your Poffin, you need to stir the mixture clockwise and counterclockwise at random intervals. You should avoid stirring too fast or too slow, as this will decrease your Poffin’s level. However, the faster you complete the process, the higher your Poffin’s level will be.

In the beginning stages, you may need to stir slowly since it’s just batter. But a couple of seconds in, you’ll notice that you need to stir faster as the mixture hardens. The level of your Poffin depends on how well you mix it, too, so be careful.

Congrats, you’ve now made some Poffins! You can feed it to your Pokémon by accessing the Poffin Case in your Key Items menu.
