Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl have had the Pokémon fan base hooked as players are once again able to revisit the beloved Sinnoh region. Long-time fans of the series will remember something special that happened in the original games on Jan. 12 and it seems that is another thing that has made it over to the remakes. Here is how to see the diamond dust Easter Egg in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
Fans of Pokémon since its inception in the early millennium will know of the significance of Jan. 12. Junichi Masuda, director and composer of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl as well as a host of other Pokémon titles celebrates his birthday on this day. Back in 2008, Masuda added an easter egg to the game to celebrate his 40th birthday. He urged players to hop into the game where they would see diamond dust falling from the sky.

This easter egg has been brought back with Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. Players can head to Snowpoint City on Jan. 12 and they will see that diamond dust is falling from the sky. This is linked with the date set on your Switch, so if you missed this special occasion, you can set your Switch date back to Jan. 12 and still be able to experience it.
