Pokémon Go players can complete A Ripple in Time Questline to catch the mythical Pokémon Celebi. There are a few steps that players will need to go through before making it to the Celebi encounter.
All Quests and Rewards
Quest 1/8:
- Power up a Pokémon 5 times - 1,000 XP
- Battle 2 times in a Gym - 1,000 XP
- Battle in 1 Raid - 1,000 XP
Reward: 10 Poké Balls, 1 Fast TM, and 1 Super Incubator
Quest 2/8:
- Make 3 new friends - 1,500 XP
- Evolve a Grass-type Pokémon - 1,500 XP
- Catch a Pokémon 3 days in a row - 1,500 XP
Reward: 1 Sun Stone, 1,500 Stardust, and 1 Premium Raid Pass
Quest 3/8:
- Evolve a Gloom or Sunkern using a Sun Stone - 2,000 XP
- Reach level 25 - 2,000 XP
- Hatch 9 Eggs - 2,000 XP
Reward: 1 King's Rock, 1 Premium Raid Pass, and an Eevee encounter
Quest 4/8:
- Evolve Eevee into Espeon (during the day) - 2,500 XP
- Walk 10km with an Eevee as your buddy Pokémon - 2,500 XP
- Send Gifts to 20 friends - 2,500 XP
Reward: 1 Metal Coat, 2,500 Stardust, and an Eevee encounter
Quest 5/8:
- Walk 10km with an Eevee as your buddy Pokémon - 3,000 XP
- Evolve Eevee into Umbreon (during the night) - 3,000 XP
- Trade a Pokémon with a friend - 3,000 XP
Reward: 1 Star Piece, 15 Pinap Berries, and 1 Upgrade
Quest 6/8:
- Spin a PokéStop 7 days in a row - 3,500 XP
- Catch 25 Pokémon using a Pinap Berry - 3,500 XP
- Evolve 2 Pokémon using evolution items - 3,500 XP
Reward: 5 Silver Pinap Berries, 3,500 Stardust, and 1 Dragon Scale
Quest 7/8:
- Catch 40 Grass or Psychic-type Pokémon - 4,000 XP
- Make an Excellent Curveball Throw - 4,000 XP
- Earn a Gold Johto Pokédex Medal - 4,000 XP
Reward: 10 Silver Pinap Berries, 1 Charge TM, and a Celebi encounter
Quest 8/8:
- Claim reward - 4,500 XP
- Claim reward - 4,500 XP
- Claim reward - 4,500 XP
Reward: 20 Celebi Candies, 1 Super Incubator, and 5,500 Stardust

How to catch Celebi in Pokémon Go
On Quest seven of A Ripple in Time Questline, players will have the chance to catch Celebi in an encounter. The encounter is similar to other Quest-related mythical and legendary Pokémon. Celebi will spawn, and players will need to find the Pokémon on screen and throw Poké Balls to catch it. This is a guaranteed catch, so there is no need to worry if there is a missed throw.
