Pokémon GO Bug Out! Collection Challenge – How to Complete

Catch these bugs first!

Niantic has announced a new event for August 2022 in Pokémon GO. The Bug Out! 2022 event will take place from Wednesday, August 10, 2022, to Tuesday, August 16, 2022. The event runs from 10am on the first day to 8pm on the final day, local time.

What Pokémon are needed in the Bug Out! 2022 Collection Challenge?

To complete the Collection Challenge for the 2022 Bug Out! Challenge, players need to catch specific Pokémon found in the wild or evolved throughout the event. The full list of Pokémon needed for this Collection can be found below.

  • Caterpie
  • Weedle
  • Wurmple
  • Karrablast
  • Shelmet
  • Joltik
  • Grubbin
  • Dewpider
  • Pineco
  • Skorupi
  • Silcoon - Evolves from Wurmple using 12 Wurmple Candy but can be caught rarely in Adventure Incense as well.
  • Cascoon - Evolves from Wurmple using 12 Wurmple Candy, but can be caught rarely in Adventure Incense as well.
  • Ariados - Evolves from Spinarak using 50 Spinarak Candy.
  • Ledian - Evolves from Ledyba using 25 Ledyba Candy.
  • Kricketune - Evolves from Kricketot using 50 Kricketot Candy.
  • Charjabug - Evolves from Grubbin using 25 Grubbin Candy.

What are the rewards for the Bug Out! 2022 Collection Challenge?

When players finish the Bug Out! 2022 Collection Challenge, they will receive a Bug Catcher Avatar pose and 15,000 XP. The Bug Catcher pose can be equipped to the player's Avatar and will be visible to other players.
