Pokémon fans around the globe will have the ability to complete Special Research during Pokémon GO Fest 2022. Players can choose between three branching Special Research paths, Catch, Explore, and Battle. This is also broken up into three difficulty levels (Relaxed, Standard, or Master). Choosing a particular path will lead to different tasks and rewards, so it is important that players know which one they would like to choose before the event starts. Continue reading below for a full list of quest steps and rewards for the Battle branch of GO Fest 2022's Special Research.
All Catch Quests and Rewards
Choosing higher difficulties of the different Special Research paths does not lead to greater rewards. The only difference between the difficulty levels is the challenge that it affords players and a difficulty-specific sticker at the end of the seventh quest. The sticker simply reflects the name of the difficulty that the player chooses. Otherwise, all of the difficulties should lead players to the same results.
Relaxed Difficulty
Quest 1/7
- Send one gift to a friend - Two Incense
- Use one Incense - 22 Poké Balls
- Catch 10 Pokémon - Two Pinap Berries
Reward: Two Razz Berries, two Poffins, and 2,022 XP.
Quest 2/7
- Use one Charged TM - Two Potions
- Power up a Pokémon three times - Two Super Potions
- Spin five PokéStops or Gyms - Two Hyper Potions
Reward: Two Max Potions, one Land Forme Shaymin Avatar T-Shirt, and two Max Revives.
Quest 3/7
- Battle three Team GO Rocket Members - 2,022 Stardust
- Purify one Shadow Pokémon - 22 Great Balls
- Use one Super Effective Charged Attack - Two Hyper Potions
Reward: Two Premium Battle Passes, two Revives, and an encounter with a Klink.
Quest 4/7
- Battle in three Raids - Two Charged TMs
- Battle in one Raid with your Buddy Pokémon - Two Fast TMs
- Earn 3,000 XP - 22 Poké Balls
Reward: 2,022 Stardust, two Rare Candies, and an encounter with Tropius.
Quest 5/7
- Battle in the GO Battle League - Two Max Potions
- Evolve three Pokémon - Two Star Pieces
- Earn 3,000 Stardust - Two Lure Modules
Reward: Two Premium Battle Passes, two Max Revives, and an encounter with Torkoal.
Quest 6/7
- Defeat a Team GO Rocket Member - Two Silver Pinap Berries
- Win one Raid - An encounter with a Galarian Mr. Mime
- Battle in the GO Battle League - Two Golden Razz Berries
Reward: Two Rare Candies, 22 Ultra Balls, and an encounter with Shaymin.

- Claim reward - 2,022 XP
- Claim reward - 2,022 Stardust
