Pokémon Go Virizion Raid Hour Guide: Best Counters and Weaknesses

The Grassland Pokémon!

One of the featured Pokémon for the upcoming week's Raid Hour is Virizion. During the Raid Hour, players worldwide will see an increase in the number of Tier 5 Raids, all of which will host either Terrakion, Virizion, or Cobalion.

Schedule

The Raid Hour is hosted every Wednesday from the hours of 6pm to 7pm local time. This week's raid will be on Nov. 10, 2021. Being hosted local time means that no matter where you are in the world, the Raid Hour will start at exactly 6pm, and you don't have to adjust for time zones.

Raid Guide

Virizion

  • Type: Grass, Fighting
  • Weak Against: Fairy, Fire, Flying, Ice, Poison Psychic
  • Strong Against: Dark, Electric, Grass, Ground, Rock, Water
  • Notes
    • Flying Pokémon is the best choice against Virizion. Both Grass and Fighting are weak against Flying, so these attacks deal massive damage to it. The secondary type doesn't matter so much as long as you use Flying attacks, but having a Fire and Flying Pokémon definitely helps.

Counters

Because Mega Pokémon are rarely used, we opted not to include them in the list of the best counters.

One important thing to note is that Yveltal and Honchkrow have Dark as their second type. Dark-type Pokémon are weak to Virizion's Fighting attacks, but having Flying as their first type offsets that weakness. Just be sure they are equipped with Flying-type attacks to deal massive damage!

That's everything you need to know about the upcoming Raid Boss!
