Tis the season to smash some pumpkins over the heads of the opposing team in Pokémon UNITE's Halloween Festival!
A rundown of the seasonal celebration comes by way of a post on Pokémon UNITE's official website. From Oct. 20 until Nov. 10, players will get a chance to play tricks with pumpkin treats in the battles of Pokémon UNITE. Turn opposing Pokémon into pumpkin heads and do it in style! Treat those favorite Pokémon and their Trainers to new Fashion Items, unlock special bonuses that reward players with pumpkins, and experience a newly spooked-out Mer Stadium in Pokémon UNITE's seasonal festivities.
Quick Battles in Mer Stadium allows players to use the Battle Item button to Pumpkin Toss at enemy Pokémon, thus propping a fat pumpkin on their heads for a short time. Players can accidentally pumpkin-head their teammates and get pumpkin-headed by an opposing Pokémon, so be sure to Pumpkin Toss carefully and dodge any incoming produce.
While a Pokémon is pumpkin-headed, they will be unable to score points or use their normal moves, but they will have access to a special move called Pumpkin Push. This move allows players to smash into enemies with a rolling dash that pushes them aside. It can also be used to escape danger's path.
Earn bonuses by just logging into the game from Oct. 20 until Nov. 7, and complete daily missions from Oct. 24 until Nov. 2 to collect even more. Mer Stadium's battle festivities also allow players to earn collectible pumpkins to exchange for Halloween items like Battle Point boost cards, a Halloween hat, a Greedent UNITE license, and more. These special items are only available to players for a limited amount of time, so collect as many pumpkins as possible in UNITE's Halloween Festival.
Also, be sure to check out all of the chilling fashion items for Trainers and Pokémon, which include the limited-time Pokémon Holowear Costume Party Style: Lucario and Costume Party Style: Zeraora.
