What is Gastrodon weak to in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

That's one tough slug.

There are many Pokémon in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl but players can only choose six of them to make up their team. One Pokémon that you should consider adding to your team is Gastrodon. This bulky water and ground-type is good in your lineup, but can also be a pain to fight against.

You might be wondering what Gastrodon is weak against. The only type that Gastrodon is weak against is grass. This is a 4x weakness to grass as both its ground and water type are weak against grass attacks. Its good defensive stats, high special attack and health, and its typing can make fighting Gastrodon a nightmare.

A strong grass-type Pokémon would be a good answer against Gastrodon. Choosing a Roserade or Torterra are both good options to defeat it. But players should be wary because Gastrodon can learn ice-type moves to counter Torterra and its ground moves can seriously hurt Roserade due to its poison type.

Other good options to defeat Gastrodon are Bronzong who can learn Solar Beam and Abomasnow whose grass and ice-typing will make ice attacks neutral. You should try and outpace Gastrodon as its speed is its weakest stat, so hit it hard before it has a chance to attack.
