How do you boil water in Project Zomboid?

Here's how to boil water!

To boil water in Project Zomboid, you will need to fill a cooking pot full of contaminated water and place it on a campfire or oven.

Placing a pot full of water on a campfire is one of the main ways players can boil water. But to boil water using a campfire, you will need a fuel source and a way to light the fire. You can use scrap wood, magazines, or even books for the fuel source, but for the best option, we recommend logs.

Logs are the best source of fuel for fires currently in the game, but to use them as such, you will first need to start a fire. To do this, grab something like a magazine or sheet of paper and pair it with a match or lighter.

After the fire is lit, you can use logs from trees to keep the fire going, and when the fire is going, place the pot filled with water on top of it.

Next, you will need to wait until you see the contaminated icon on the pot of water disappear. When the icon goes away, you will have successfully boiled water.

But what about ovens? Well, it's more or less the same deal as campfires. Start by just grabbing a pot of water and placing it inside an oven. Afterward, you will need to open the oven's settings, turn it on, and increase the temperature to boil water.

You can do this by right-clicking the oven and opening its settings tab. That said, once it's placed and boiling, it's the same deal as the campfire, and you will need to wait until the contaminated icon goes away.
