How do you Plumb in Project Zomboid?

Get running water!

To plumb and make a working sink in Project Zomboid, you will need a Wrench, a Sink, and a Rain Collector. When you have all three items, you will be able to use the wrench to make a working sink with a Rain Collector by plumbing.

Start by finding a working sink in Project Zomboid. You can find sinks in most buildings in the game, but the most common are homes. After locating a sink, you will need to place your Rain Collector on a surface above a sink.

The Rain Collector also doesn't need to be directly over the sink but at least one tile adjacent to it, so just place a Rain Collector off the side of a building.

Once the Rain Collector is placed, you can hook it up to a sink by right-clicking the sink and clicking the plumb option. After clicking plumb sink, your character will take their wrench out and start working on the sink.

When you finish plumbing the sink, you will get running water, but remember to conserve your water. It's because your sink's water will only last as long as the Rain collector has water, so you might want to build a few Rain collectors to build up a water reserve.
