Project Zomboid Tailoring leveling guide

Here, we will explain how to level up Tailoring in Project Zomboid.

To level up Tailoring in Project Zomboid, you must add padding and patch holes in your clothes. Start by right-clicking a clothing item you have equipped.

Doing so will open a tab with a list of options, and you will need to click the one that says Inspect. Clicking Inspect will then display a menu like the one shown below.

You can patch both holes in clothing and add padding inside this menu. To add padding to your clothes, right-click a section of the clothing item and click add padding.

If you want to patch holes in clothing, do the same as padding, but find a Patch Holes option after right-clicking. But before you can add padding or patch holes, you will need a needle and thread

Luckily, you can get both Tailoring items by searching the following locations in Project Zomboid:

  • Medicine Cabinets - Needles
  • Sheds - Thread
  • Stores - Thread
  • Vehicles - Thread
  • Residential Homes - Sewing Kits
  • Cabinets - Sewing Kits

How to level up Tailoring Fast in Project Zomboid

To level up Tailoring fast in Project Zomboid, you must read Skill Books and watch VHS tapes. Reading Skill books in the game can give you a huge XP boost toward leveling your Tailoring skill. That said, here are all of the Tailoring Skill books you need and what level to read them at:

  • Tailoring for Beginners - Levels 1 to 2
  • Tailoring for Intermediates - Levels 3 to 4
  • Advanced Tailoring - Levels 5 to 6
  • Expert Tailoring - Levels 7 to 8
  • Master Tailoring - Levels 9 to 10

After reading a book, we recommend patching all of your clothes up, doing so will help level your Tailoring skill. but if you want to farm XP for Tailoring this way, we recommend equipping new clothes and then patching them up. Keep repeating this process until you go up a level in Tailoring.
