From gas stations to secret bases, finding locations in Project Zomboid can be hard, as the map is broad and includes rural locations that are far from anything else. As long as you come prepared and know where you're headed, you can find and conquer the Secret Military Base.

How to find the Secret Military Base in Project Zomboid

The Secret Military Base in Project Zomboid, also know as the Military Research Facility, is located northwest of Rosewood. To find and get to the Military Base, you will need to take the highway that goes north of the Rosewood neighborhood and turn onto a dirt road about halfway through the highway journey.

Follow this dirt road and you will eventually reach the Military Base. But before heading to the base, I highly recommend finding a vehicle that can move fast offroad and on dirt roads. 

Any car that is not suited for offroad travel will drive painfully slow and will require constant backing up and driving forward to move through the difficult terrain. Because of this, I recommend getting one of these cars:

• Chevalier D6
• Dash Rancher
• Franklin All-Terrain

The Military Base is a high-end loot location. It doesn't contain a ton of items but does have select end-game gear, such as military equipment M16s. You will also encounter a large number of infected inside and around the base, so be prepared. There is a lot of mystery and intrigue surrounding the existence of the base in the game's lore.

How to get to the Military Research Facility in Project Zomboid

Because of the treacherous nature of the zombie-infested location, it is important to be prepared and geared if you want to attempt clearing and looting the Secret Military Base location in Project Zomboid.

Taking a car or other vehicle is a necessity, as fleeing on foot will almost certainly end up with death or a bite. You'll also want to bring your best weapons and suit up in your most protective clothing. While the base isn't clearly marked on a map, you can mark the area your self if you have a map and pencil/pen.
