How Long does it Take to Beat Psychonauts 2?

With its recent release in August 2021, many potential players of Psychonauts 2 are curious to know how much time they can expect to invest in the game. This is a common concern for many players when picking which games to choose as it may affect when and if they'll buy it. We fortunately have the answer to this question!

When played straight through the game and not heavily focusing on side-quests and extras, players have found that Psychonauts 2 takes between 12-15 hours to complete. This is on the short side of average for a game of this caliber. However, Psychonauts is a series that focuses more on the added content for players to explore, rather than encouraging speedruns.

However, if you're a completionist and aim to collect every item possible on every level, you can expect to put in about 25 hours. This is because many of the collectibles require multiple play throughs for each level, and some of them are incredibly difficult to get. Since Psychonauts is a series that revolves around discovering the inner-workings of the mind, we wouldn't be surprised if we see a lot of players go this route!
