Rainbow Six Extraction is finally here, and it has 13 different mission types that players will face on every incursion. While some of them are tricky to complete, all of the missions will be randomized at the start of each mission.Â
There will be three different types of missions at the start of each incursion divided by three levels of difficulty. The first one will be the easiest to complete, and the game will prompt you to move ahead to the next objective. Here are the 13 mission types you will face in Rainbow Six Extraction.Â
Biopsy
Biopsy is perhaps the simplest of the missions in Rainbow Six Extraction and it requires players to perform a stealth elimination. Use Crouch to move undetected and sneak behind an enemy to perform a Takedown with the REACT Blade.Â
Nest TrackingÂ
Operators use a special REACT pistol Injector to insert an Autotracker inside dormant nests. These nests must remain in dormant form, otherwise, they start producing Archaeans. Do not destroy all the nests before planting the Autotrackers in a Nest Tracking mission.Â
Triangulation
Triangulation requires players to activate three Seismic Stations within a specific time. Make sure to eliminate all Archaeans around before interacting with the first Seismic Station.
Hunt
Hunt is a straightforward throwback mission for veteran Rainbow Six players. The mission requires you to eliminate a number of Archaeans before the Elite Archaean arrives. Defeating the Elite Archaean automatically completes the objective.Â
SabotageÂ
Sabotage requires players to destroy two Arch Spines found in the Hot-Zone. You will have to locate and plant explosives on the Arch Spines to start this mission. Once the explosives are set, protect the Arch Spine from a wave of Archaeans. The objective is to stay alive while keeping the explosive intact.
MIA Operator
MIA Operator rescue missions are conducted to bring back fallen Operators. Once you lose an Operator during an incursion, this is the only way of getting them back. Make sure to locate the Arch Tree and start shooting down the branches to weaken it. Extract your Operator and take them quickly to the Extraction Pod.
Rescue
Rescue missions are similar to MIA Operator missions where the objective is to locate a target and bring them safely back to the Extraction Pod. Once you locate the VIP, head back to the extraction point to complete the objective.
Decontamination
Decontamination requires players to destroy a number of nests. You will also have to collect samples from these nests and send them back for examination. Each nest will have a strong Archaean who summons others. Blast through them and find the main nest to acquire the sample.
No One Left Behind
This mission is triggered when a teammate gets knocked down. You will have to get them out of that area and take them back to the Extraction Pod.
Serial Scan
Serial Scan requires players to locate scanners and identify three different zones. You will be attacked by waves of Archaeans, so make sure to eliminate most of them before activating the scanner. Once on the platform, start defending the area from the aliens.
Specimen
Specimen missions require players to isolate a specific Archaean and capture them for further examination. This can be tricky to complete if you face a wave of enemies. Make sure to isolate the target before luring them towards the trap.
Shutdown
Shutdown is another tricky mission in Rainbow Six Extraction which requires players to plant three explosives at multiple nests. These nests keep spawning Archaeans and the explosives can be destroyed easily. Make sure to complete this mission as quickly as possible to avoid wasting the explosives.
Gateway
Perhaps the toughest mission in Rainbow Six Extraction is Gateway. You will have to take down a Protean, which is a fallen Operator converted to an Archaean. They are mainly the bosses of Archaean troops so make sure to have a stocked loadout before going in.Â
